The health and safety of our clients, their families, and our employees is always our foremost concern. We recognize that our clients represent one of the most at-risk populations for infections and falls. Consequently, we continuously monitor the well-being of all our employees, especially our caregivers who enter client homes. This vigilance ensures that we do not assign caregivers to homes with clients exhibiting symptoms of contagious and infectious diseases, reinforcing our commitment to home safety and fall prevention.
Our caregivers undergo annual home safety training, focusing on Standard Precautions and infection control procedures, as well as fall prevention strategies.
Our agency strictly follows effective methods to prevent the spread of preventable diseases:
1. Hand hygiene.
2. Use of personal protective equipment such as gloves and masks.
3. Respiratory hygiene or cough etiquette.
4. Safe disposal of sharps in sealed puncture-proof containers.
5. Reminding clients of safe injection practices, such as cleaning the injection site beforehand.
6. Ensuring that medical instruments or devices are clean and/or sterile before use.
7. Maintaining a clean and disinfected environment.
Understanding that a fall can be one of the most dangerous events for a senior, we emphasize training our caregivers on how to maintain a senior's living space free of fall hazards.
